Recent Comments

I have noticed that the third box down on the left of the home page labeled "Recent comments" is not updating with the most recent replies to forum topics. I believe keeping this section up to date will encourage and make it easier for users to follow along and contribute to the discussions.

Actually, the Recent Comments

Actually, the Recent Comments box refers to comments that are made in Announcements and Events, not forums. Replies made to Forum Topics are shown in the Active Forum Topics box (2nd box down on the left). I can easily see how differentiating between the two can be confusing. Perhaps it would be better if I simply turned off the ability to post comments on Announcements and Events, and removed the Recent Comments box? People could still make their thoughts known through the forums. It's an idea I've batted around since the beginning.

Is there any chance that our HOA would approve something like this? It would be great to be a "greener" neighborhood!
