We live on Buffalo Tundra (Braker Ln dead end street is right behind our house) and last night the electricity went out at our house and the electricity also went out for all the houses around us. This is not the 1st time the electricity has gone out and usually it only lasts about 20 mins at the most but last night it was at least an hour before the electricity came back on. I just wanted to see if anyone knew why the elecricity keeps going out at night? I haven't called the electric company yet but I plan to do that today to see what going on.
We live on Timber Heights. Our power went off as well. We've lived here since 9/11 and this is about the 4th time we lost power. We are curious as well. We thought having underground utilities would prevent this from happening so often. At least it wasn't the dead of summer when we need air-conditioning!
Same here - live on TImber for 4 years and power outages for us seem to be way too frequent. I call 311 whenever there is an outage, just in case someone else did not call yet. But I don't know how you would get them to come out and do a whole "system test" because we are without power for a couple hours every year. Anyone know how to do a "group complaint" to COA utilities?
I do know that several recent outages were due to auto accidents on Dessau. The utility company got it back up an running ASAP.
