You have got to be joking, is this purely to satisfy the show home.
8. No more than one flagpole may be constructed on any property, and no flagpole shall exceed more than 20 feet in height.
9. Flags may not be displayed that exceed a dimension of 8 feet in height by 5 feet in width.
So from this it is acceptable for someone to put up a 20ft high flag pole with an 8ft wide flag on it, and you seem to think that is not going to be an annoyance to their neighbors.
This policy is nonsense. If someone wants to hang a flag from their porch I have no problem with that, but this is not a flag display we are talking about here, a 20ft flag pole is a permanent installation.

Flag pole policy
As you may not be aware, several laws have been recently passed that HOAs must follow and we were required to adopt these resolutions. The flag pole policy is one of them. We did not write it, we only adopted it as it is required.
