National Night out

I went with my family to meet out HOA members. According to the website they were going to be there with sodas & bottled water and to my sorprise NOBODY, not even member of the committee were there. HOW ASHAME.. I went there several times hoping to see some of them.. How do they expect us to be involved if they are not...

Really?! Which location did

Really?! Which location did you go to? There was one at the swimming pool and one at the little park over on Payton Falls Drive. I suspect you went to the pool location. My girlfriend and I went to the Payton Falls one, and we saw one board member and at least 4 committee members there. We couldn't stay very long because we had other plans, but it seemed to have a nice little turnout. I know that most of the Board members live in the Payton Falls side of the neighborhood, and I suspect that most of the committee members do as well. So, maybe they were simply attending the Payton Falls location because it was the one closest to them?

Comunity Activity

This is sort of a point of conversation.  The area near Payton Falls has been established for some time correct?  The activity on this side of the "track" seems rather limited.  I feel this is why there have been several questions as to when there will be or rather will there be Committee MEETINGS in the near future.  A few meetings to organize and effort to improve communication, awareness and involvement sort of train of thought I guess.

Again, Alice Sheth, Elena Sun and a few others have taken it upon themselves (and are now I believe on the committee) to create some community envolvement (events) on the "Pool Side" of PCW (bbq, potlucks, and such) which have been great.

I have asked (albeit not checked in a couple of days for a response) when meetings are to be scheduled.  I think the garage sale coming up is a great idea to get people involved.  I think it would be great to get both sides involved whether it is over on Payton Falls Drive or the Pool Side.  I may be wrong but there may be such a lack of familiarity with the Payton Falls Drive portion of PCW and because it has been established for a longer period of time feels separate and even a different community tha the Pool side and that goes double for the Bungalows area.  I am biased, but I was curious if the pool area was a bit more of a centrally located position for all 3 divisions of the PCW Community.  In fact I live in the far South East Corner of the Pool Side and looking at a map the pool is about the center point between the three areas.  I also thought it might have more room than Payton Falls Drive area for setting up a garage sale (Farmers Market Style) event.

Just a thought/perception..again if there were some meetings there would be better communications and organization.

Thanks

Sean

the one on Muskeet Valley

According to the web page, Pioneer Crossing West was going to be hosting two separate parties for the two sides of our neighborhood. One on 1805 Musket Valley Trail and the other at 1630 Payton Falls Drive.

Garage Sale

Hi Guys,
Just like to say I'm glad to see the involvement and concern. As far as the garage sale goes, I don't think I can haul all the stuff I have over to the Pool area. So, having pockets of selling points convenient to the neighbors involved is best, I think. Now, if we want to gather for other events - the pool area is the best. Getting the Recreation committee going will be the key.
Let's consider having a adhoc meeting at some point in the near future and regroup with these key committee members.
